It is with distinct pleasure that the Dan Finn Classic welcomes Brigidier General James J. Grant as the newest member of the Board Of Trustees. The General brings with him a lifetime of scheduling, planning, and tactical expertise further rounding out the abilities of the Board.  His love for sports is only surpassed by his concern for our youth, especially in the inner city.

Aquille Carr, considered by many to be the most exciting player  in the United States, came to the Jersey city Armory on January 14th and made us all believers. His 38 points included whirling dervish moves to the basket not seen since the Calvin Murphy days in the late 60's. A special thank you goes out to the members of the Seton Hall University community who came out to welcome their newest signee. Every effort will be made to see if we can secure a return performance in 2013.

His long time background in philanthropic causes make his synergies with the DFC a perfect match.

The Dan Finn Classic - 2012 is now in the books. It will go down as our most successful event to date. What it brings with it is a standard that we must live up to in coming years, a standard that we intend to uphold. Most importantly our ability to once again spread roughly $25,000. in tuition assistance grants in addition to donations to many charitable and humanitarian causes will be continued. We sincerely thank all of the teams, coaches, players, die hard volunteers, and especially the fans for making this all possible in the name of Dan Finn.
